After New Line Cinema ensured they would be solvent for some time with A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, they did actually take the time to make the third installment more than just a simple cash grab. For one thing, they spent a couple years working on it, and more importantly (blog post) got Wes Craven back on as writer and (blog post) producer. The result? Something that cranked (blog post) the concept up to 11.

A cult classic from 1984, C.H.U.D. is the whimsical tale of a mutated race of people living below the streets in sewers and abandoned tunnels, whom occasionally like to bring folks down to their place for dinner. As the police learn of their sci-fi movies existence, a horror movie plays out - but in this generic backdrop for a low budget horror movie, can it (blog) keep your interest, or are you better off avoiding these streets?
